Who are Cosmic Queens?



		Who are Cosmic Queens? We like to think of Cosmic Queens as women who have changed the world, or are in the process of changing the world. One obvious example comes to mind: Oprah Winfrey, who has enhanced literacy and informed millions of people about contemporary social problems.

Some Examples of Cosmic Queens
We have made many lists of women we think of as Cosmic Queens. Among them: Eleanor Roosevelt, Joan of Arc, Mother Theresa, Georgia O'Keefe. We think of contemporary women like Julia Roberts, who gave her time and her money to the Sept. 11 funds, and to Rosie O'Donnell, who helped revive theater on Broadway. Powerful women can help many causes in many ways. Their efforts are an inspiration to us all. Check out information on Jane Goodall and her life-long work to nurture and to save chimpanzees. We are proud that some celebrities wear and support Cosmic Queen. Singer Deana Carter, and actresses Vanessa Marcil and Constance Zimmer are some of our beauty-is-as-beauty-does role models. Not only do they work hard; they know how important it is to give to the community.
