  The Story of Cosmic Queen

Cosmic Queen was created by Carrie and Sydney Kravetz to honor women who believe beauty is more than skin deep.

The concept was inspired by Melissa Kravetz, an award-winning volunteer and animal activist, who worked her entire life to “make the world a
better place.” Melissa, a protege of Jane Goodall, believed in the power of nature, the sanctity of animal life, and the energies of women, as universal nurturers, to know what needed to be done and to do it.

In her honor, Cosmic Queen makeup is color matched to precious gemstones and to ancient goddesses honored, since the beginning of time, for
their wisdom, strength and beauty. Eight universal, ancient Cosmic Queens, from many cultures, are linked to each Cosmic Queen color.
For instance, the goddess Jun-Ti, is linked to Amethyst - the color of dreams. We’ve also listed a number of more contemporary Cosmic Queens who broke barriers to achieve and to excel. The Cosmic Queen list includes athletes and actresses, scientists and singing stars. Eleanor Roosevelt, Marie Curie and Janis Joplin are among those women who proved they could change the way we saw the world.

You will find that Cosmic Queen’s glowing makeup colors have a mystical ingredient, as well - in the case of the lip gloss, it’s the healing herb, Melissa. For eye shadows, it’s the bold, expressive colors matched to the minerals to bring each gemstone energy to the person who wears
it. To help focus attention on the beautiful work women do, $1from the sale of each Cosmic Queen makeup is donated to charities either run by women or organizations uplifting and empowering young girls and women.

Our initial organizations include the Jane Goodall Institute, and Women Build! Habitat for Humanity - where women learn construction skills and are motivated to help take action against poverty housing conditions. Over the past several years, Cosmic Queen has donated both funds and makeup to organizations like these. Cosmic Queen philosophy can be summed up in six words: Beauty glows from the inside out.

Cosmic Queen has been featured in "Women's Own" Magazine. Carrie Kravetz won a new business grant from Cosmetic Executive Women, a leading organization in the makeup field.
